So it seems like Mark Zuckerberg is back?

In a surprise plot twist, Mark Zuckerberg is kinda cool now. The guy that built Facebook, hung out in court a lot and almost seemed like a recluse for many years, is almost everywhere now. He revealed some new tech, appeared on a bunch of podcasts and has been seen wakeboarding.

His image underwent a drastic transformation, and it just shows you not to undervalue a really good content and a clever PR agency.

Of course, as with any piece of hardware, Orion is only as good as the things you can do with it. And while it’s still early days, the experiences afforded by Orion are an exciting glimpse of what’s to come.

Facebook have Meta AI running on Orion, so it understands what you’re looking at in the physical world and can help you with useful visualisations. So you can open up your refrigerator and ask for a recipe based on what’s inside. Or video call a friend while adjusting a digital family calendar as you wash the dishes. Neat. 🤓

Inspired by the brain’s axons, researchers have engineered materials that can propagate electrical signals effectively, potentially transforming future computing technologies by enhancing efficiency and reducing energy consumption. (Artist’s concept.) Credit: SciTechDaily.com

A team of scientists from Texas A&M University, Sandia National Lab – Livermore, and Stanford University are taking lessons from the brain to design materials for more efficient computing. The new class of materials discovered is the first of their kind – mimicking the behavior of an axon by spontaneously propagating an electrical signal as it travels along a transmission line. These findings could be critical to the future of computing and artificial intelligence.

30” Startup Story

💥 Cleo Abram

Today’s startup story is a little bit different, it is the story of Cleo Abram a content creator that started doing work for Vox, and then pivoted to create her own content on interesting topics. She has built a massive online following and her content is honestly super engaging. She recently interviewed Mark Zuckerberg about the AR glasses, and it’s definitely a must watch ⤵️

Cleo Abrams didn’t always know she'd be a content creator. In fact, she started out with a love for storytelling, which led her to journalism. But it was when she began experimenting with short-form content on social media that things really took off. Cleo quickly realized that how you tell a story is just as important as what you’re saying. She focused on making complex topics simple, digestible, and shareable. This knack for breaking things down helped her grow her audience fast—and today, Cleo’s work is a perfect example of how blending storytelling with visual creativity can drive incredible engagement.
